Help a Child Smile Again

By donating $150 you can help the Australian Childhood Foundation help a child smile again.

Through our animal assisted therapy program, children learn how to relax and manage their feelings. They develop a sense of compassion and empathy for the animals they hold and care for. Often these children are experiencing for the first time what it means to care for a living creature in a meaningful and empathetic way. Children who have been abused and neglected themselves are often not aware of what it means to care for and be cared for. 

Children who participate in these programs do smile, even laugh. They begin to experience feelings that they have been robbed of due to their painful experiences.
