Pin & Win a success in 2022
Impact Newsletter December 2022
It’s been a big year and our Pin & Win partnership with Victoria Racing Club (VRC) has provided us with the opportunity to raise funds on a platform like never before.
Australian Childhood Foundation has been named the charity partner for Victoria Racing Club’s Pin & Win campaign in 2022 and 2023. Pin & Win is VRC’s major annual fundraising program, an initiative established in 1995 to give charities the platform to raise funds through the sale of Lexus Melbourne Cup souvenir pins.
As VRC’s 16th charity partner, we are thankful to have raised over $475,000 towards our National Trauma Recovery Program, one of the highest amounts raised for the campaign in its existence. These funds are supporting children and young people through specialist care and extends support to the important people that form circles of care around them.
Throughout the week we had over 70 volunteers who generously donated their time to assist in selling pins. With the weather transforming into every extreme, our volunteers persevered with big smiles on their faces and for that, we couldn’t be more grateful.
We also couldn’t have done this without our amazing ambassadors – Stefan Dennis, Olivia Molly Rogers, Rachel Watts and Lorinska Merrington, who each gave their time to contribute, participate and share the purpose of the Foundation.
The Foundation is humbled by the support from our volunteers, ambassadors, staff, donors and pin purchasers. The impact this will make in the lives of so many children who need our help is enormous. We’ve shared a video summarising the campaign which you can view here.
If you want to get involved in 2023, we would love to have you. Visit our volunteer submission page to learn more and sign up. We need as many people as possible to help ensure next year is an even bigger success, so please spread the word and get involved.
