Impact Newsletter March 2023

In late 2022 we conducted a survey to help us better understand our wonderful supporters' communication preferences. We received a great response and would like to thank everyone who provided feedback.

We were especially moved to read your comments about why you first started supporting the Foundation, especially those who work with children, such as one primary school teacher who said, " I have seen first-hand children in need.”  

While we can’t share all the survey results in this post, we wanted to share a few interesting insights. We discovered that there are still many programs our supporters might not have heard about yet.   

Interestingly 10% of our supporters had heard of our Centre for Excellence in Therapeutic Care (CETC). CETC is a division of the Foundation and a national leader in trauma-informed therapeutic services for children and young people, specialising in those living in foster and kinship care, residential care, and secure care. In comparison, 70% of our supporters knew about our professional development courses and programs for people who support children and young people.

Not surprisingly, many supporters mentioned that they were moved by the stories of children facing trauma and would like to read more impact reports. We hear you and will continue to provide those stories this year.

We also wanted to congratulate the five lucky winners who received the Yia Yia Next Door Cook Books:  Barb Miles, Emily Andrew, Lisa Ferguson and two other anonymous winners.
