What does it mean to leave a gift in my Will?

Impact Newsletter March 2023

A gift in your Will means that your passion for helping the most vulnerable children will continue beyond your lifetime.

At Australian Childhood Foundation, a gift in your Will can help us protect children and restore childhood through relationships that guide, support and have the power to help children heal from the trauma of abuse, neglect and exploitation. It can also enable us to plan with confidence for our future work, funding new projects, research and development of new therapeutic techniques and tools.

We are so grateful for our generous supporters.

Sometimes that support comes from people who made a decision many years ago, to leave a gift in their Will. For many people a gift in will, or bequest as it’s sometimes called, is the biggest gift they will ever give. It’s a chance to make sure your passions continue well into the future.

Recently, we spoke with one of our supporters, Elizabeth who is a parent and grandparent. She shared her passion for our work, “these children need counselling and support to bring healing to their lives. I want to help these vulnerable children have a wonderful bright future,” she said.

And she’s not the only one. Many of our supporters have shared similar sentiments about how their donations are making a difference in the long term. Peter and Ginty said, “we support Australian Childhood Foundation because all children need to be safe, cared for and given an equal opportunity. They are the future.”

We know that leaving a gift in your Will is a deeply personal decision, but if you want to discuss your options in more detail, please contact us via phone at 1300 381 581 or email.
